Coaching Services

The BBTC coaching team is one of the strongest in Auckland – Led by one of New Zealand’s finest – Julia Sim.

Julia directs all aspects of coaching at our Club. Julia, brings to BBTC a wealth of experience in all aspects of coaching and club administration. Having played at an elite level, Julia knows what is required to elvolve as the modern tennis player and can spot and nuture talent at an early age. Having said that, she also gets a kick out of helping the oldies improve their game! Her passion is truly infectious!

Julia also covers group and private lessons for all ages and abilities. Julia is able to cover beginner players through to advanced. Get in touch to find out about 1×1 or Group coaching. Julia has a squad of assistants and hitting partners to help fine-tune your game throughout the year.

Available Programmes

Our coach will ensure that you have a great time and want to keep playing.

Private lessons

One on One private sessions, ½, ¾ or hour long.

$60 for 1 hour

$45 for ¾ hour

30 for ½ hour

Group lessons (4 to 6)

Group lessons for children cost approximately $120 per term for 8 x 1 hour lessons.

Adult beginner refresher courses

Whether you are a total beginner, or a seasoned tournament player, you can access programs year-round.

Holiday programmes

An exciting holiday programme for juniors who are keen to improve their tennis over the school holidays.

Junior Programme (summer)
  • Monday: 4:00pm – 6:00pm: Advanced Open InterClub/ MatchPlay
  • Tuesday: 4:00pm – 5:30pm: Beginner Open InterClub/ MatchPlay
  • Wednesday: 3:30pm – 4:30pm: Tiny Tots 5-8yrs
  • Wednesday: 4:30pm – 5:30pm: 8-12yrs+
  • Wednesday: 5:30pm – 7:00pm: 15yrs+
  • Thursday: Variable times: Academy Squad – Advanced training for competitive Juniors 
  • Friday: 3:30pm – 4:30pm: Tiny Tots 5-8yrs
  • Friday: 5:00pm – 6:30pm: 12-15yrs
  • Saturday: 9:00am – 10:30am: 8-12yrs

    All sessions have only six to eight children per court / coach
